Creative and Practical Arts
Creative and Practical Arts (CAPA) is one of the key learning areas in the Junior School curriculum. All students are to be provided with experiences in CAPA on a regular basis across the visual arts, music, drama and dance areas.
At St Andrew's Cathedral School's Gawura campus our students:
- Are supported in developing positive attitudes towards CAPA and themselves as learners and users of CAPA.
- Are encouraged to use their CAPA knowledge and skills to investigate and express themselves as learners and users of CAPA.
- Are encouraged to reflect on, verbalise and verify their CAPA experiences.
- Are encouraged to explore and investigate CAPA ideas, situations and problems, often in a creative and culturally inclusive way.
- Are given opportunities for using a range of mediums which are culturally inclusive within CAPA.
