The following principles guide welfare practices at the Gawura campus:
- The School community focuses on positives.
- Schools need to be safe and happy environments for students, staff and community members.
- A positive school climate is necessary to enable students to learn and grow with confidence.
- Students develop best in schools where teaching and learning occur in the context of Pastoral Care.
- Parents and community members need to feel valued as part of the school’s learning community.
- Schools are best served by staff which valued, are supported and has a common purpose.
- Pastoral Care practices are ongoing and dynamic.
- Behaviour management practices are procedurally fair to all.
