Connecting with other Educational and Aboriginal Organisations
Since the inception of Gawura in 2007, a lighthouse model for Indigenous Education, we have formed some wonderful relationships with many people and organisations around Australia. Our connections extend from relationships with Federal and State departments of education and associations such as the Aboriginal Educational Consultative Group; Association of Independent Schools and NSW Board of Studies. Relationships also exist with Indigenous Preschools and other schools providing places to Indigenous students in Sydney.
Sharing Knowledge and Resources
Community relationships exist with a number of Indigenous organisations or organisations with community programmes in the Sydney City area. Collaboration operates at a number of levels, to share knowledge or resources between organisations, to build capacity and to extend Indigenous community education interests.
