Gawura is a place of belonging, a place where all students are proud of their heritage and proud of who they are. Our students motto is “Ngadhu djidamal bala nyanhagu”! which, translated from Wiradjuri language taught in the classroom, means “I am proud to be Me”.
At Gawura, the richness of the learning environment and the cultural infusion that surrounds the students and staff are captured in our stories which can be found in our weekly newsletters as well as other articles.
‘Proud to be Me’ …stories from the students and the Gawura Community:
Kasarina Man, Year 12 St Andrew’s Cathedral School Leadership team, shares her story on an excursion to the Royal Bank of Scotland – Royal Bank of Scotland meets Gawura
Whilst not a student of Gawura, our inpirational Ambassador, Deborah Cheetham is proud to share her story – High Expectations – A Journey with Deborah Cheetham
