Gifts in wills

Leaving a gift in your Will creates a lasting opportunity for First Nations students.

By including a gift to the Gawura Scholarship Fund, you are helping to strengthen pathways for future generations of First Nations students, grounded in respect, restoration and opportunity, and helping to ensure that our unique way of learning continues for those who come after us.

Many people choose to leave a gift in their Will after first providing for family and loved ones. Even a small share of your estate can help open doors for First Nations students, supporting their learning journey from Kindergarten to Year 12, and to opportunities beyond.

There are several simple ways to leave a gift.

A gift of the whole, or part of your estate, a residual gift, such as a percentage or the remainder of your estate once loved ones have been cared for, or a specific gift, such as a fixed sum of money or asset.

Some supporters choose to leave their gift unrestricted, allowing the Fund to respond to the evolving needs of students and families over time. Others prefer to direct their bequest to an area that reflects what matters most to them.

“We deeply appreciate those who consider leaving a gift in their Will and recognise this as a thoughtful and deeply personal decision.”
