The Final Chapter, A New Beginning
Let’s celebrate our Year 12 Gawura scholars, Josh and Sonny, as they commence their HSC examinations, marking an important milestone in their Gawura and St Andrew’s Cathedral School journeys.

After years of learning, growth, friendships and achievements, this moment represents both the culmination of their school years and the beginning of an exciting new chapter. As a community, we are immensely proud of the young men they have become and deeply grateful to the supporters who have helped make their educational journeys possible. We wish Josh and Sonny every success as they look towards the future.

Sonny’s Artistic Talent Shines
A talented and creative young artist, Sonny has completed an outstanding body of work for his HSC Visual Arts portfolio, showcasing his artistic ability, dedication and unique creative vision.

Titled “Songlines” his artworks explore his connection to home and place, drawing inspiration from artists including David Hockney and Jeffrey Smart.

His work clearly resonated with visitors to the recent exhibition, where he received the People’s Choice Award, attracting the highest number of votes from those in attendance. This wonderful recognition of Sonny’s talent, creativity and hard work is an achievement we are incredibly proud to celebrate.

Craftsmanship, Creativity and Dedication
Josh and Sonny have also demonstrated their remarkable talents through their HSC Industrial Technology – Timber and Furniture major works.

Showcasing exceptional craftsmanship, creativity and attention to detail, their completed pieces reflect countless hours of planning, patience and dedication. Both young men have approached their projects with determination and pride, producing outstanding work that demonstrates their technical skills and creative vision

Sonny and Josh have shown great dedication to not only their studies, but their families and community and fellow students. What these two young men have achieved is greatly encouraging yet has not come easy. We are immensely proud of you both and look forward to seeing your next steps out within our world.
